Procedures for Part 1 and Part 2. Surface Reflection Intensity (SRI) was always measured by both the TableTop and OptiPen device. Enamel loss from toothbrush abrasion (Part 1) was calculated from changes in indentation depths from the hardness instrument. Enamel loss from erosion was measured by a White Light Interferometer (WLI). In Part 2, SRI, SH and WLI analyses were made after 1, 2, 4, 8 min etch on the respective cylinders
